Kim's Favorite Things
A curated collection of Paris shops, books, beauty rituals, hidden gems, and inspiring people I genuinely love.
Le Petit Marché has always been about more than antiques and beautiful objects.
It is about discovering the people, places, shops, books, and experiences that make Paris feel magical.
Over the years, I’ve collected a list of favorite places and special people that I return to again and again — from flower shops hidden down tiny streets, to inspiring books, beautiful perfumes, talented artists, and unforgettable experiences.
I hope these recommendations inspire your own adventures, whether you are planning a trip to Paris or simply bringing a little French beauty into your everyday life.

Anna Kloots' Guide to Paris
Before you even begin planning your trip to Paris, make sure you purchase Anna’s guide! Anna truly knows all of the special little details that make Paris magical — especially the hidden gems most people would never find on their own. She has lived in Paris for years and absolutely adores the city, which shines through on every page. After using her guide to plan your trip, you are guaranteed to discover some incredibly special places and experiences.
L'Arrosior
L’Arrosoir is one of the most magical places in Paris. It is actually the oldest flower shop in the city, and stepping inside feels like walking into a fairy tale. Flowers spill throughout the shop alongside antique French mirrors and beautiful vintage treasures. I always recommend visiting on your very first day in Paris so you can bring a bouquet back to your hotel room and enjoy it throughout your stay. The shop is owned by the incredibly talented Adrienne Ryser, whose eye for beauty is simply unmatched.
Katie Donnelly Photography
Katie Donnelly is truly one of the most talented photographers in Paris. She has even been voted “Best Paris Portrait Photographer,” and after working with her, it is easy to understand why. Katie has taken many of the photographs featured throughout my website — from the giant bouquet of peonies on the homepage to the photos of me shopping at the flea markets. She has such a calming, natural way about her that makes every session feel fun, relaxed, and effortless.
Fleurs
Fleurs is one of the most beautiful books I have ever owned. Written by Adrienne Ryser and photographed by Katie Donnelly Kapfer, the book shares stunning French bouquet “recipes” along with breathtaking photography. Before reading this book, I never fully understood what made French floral arrangements feel so different and special. It completely changed the way I look at flowers.
You can also visit Adrienne’s flower shop, L’Arrosoir, during your time in Paris.
French Blooms is another favorite of mine. Sandra Sigman, owner of Les Fleurs, in Andover, Massachusetts, created such a beautiful and inspiring book filled with French-inspired floral arrangements and ideas for the home. Every page feels elegant, warm, and timeless.

Officine Universelle Buly 1803 feels like stepping back into another century. Their shops are absolutely beautiful, and every detail — from the packaging to the displays — feels incredibly special. While they are known for perfumes and beauty products, one of my favorite things to purchase is a monogrammed brush, either for your vanity or your purse. It makes such a lovely and memorable souvenir from Paris.

Fragonard has become one of my favorite perfume discoveries in France. I have visited both their factories and museums in Grasse and Paris, and even created my own custom perfume blend during a workshop in Paris. Their scents are beautiful, classic, and surprisingly affordable compared to many luxury perfume houses. If you love fragrance, Fragonard is absolutely worth visiting while in Paris.

Nose Paris is such a fun and unique experience for anyone who loves perfume. They carry thousands of fragrances, but the best part is their perfume “test,” which helps identify the scent notes you naturally gravitate toward. Afterwards, they guide you through different fragrances until you find the perfect match. It feels almost like finding your signature scent through a wine tasting experience.

Cible Skin is one of my favorite little luxuries in Paris. I try to book a facial there every single time I visit. The experience is incredibly relaxing and pampering, and the staff always recommend wonderful products tailored specifically to your skin afterwards. It is such a peaceful escape in the middle of the city.

Delphine Courteille's salon is such a charming hidden gem tucked inside a beautiful courtyard in Paris. I always try to schedule a hair cut at the salon with Delphine herself whenever I am in the city. The salon feels intimate, relaxed, and incredibly Parisian — one of those special little places you never forget once you discover it.
